By the time Coats got to the 125X series of balancers they decided to incorporate the low voltage transformer right onto the drive circuit board. So instead of a transformer mounted separately to the inside of the machine and connected with wires it was all nicely together. The principles remain the same and these are repairable.

We've repaired a bunch of these for the 38400 2K machines, mostly with malfunctioning displays. We can get new displays if yours is cracked. Robinaire P/N is RA19740 for the 34800-2K but I get the impression that the board may be used on other models by loading different firmware. Stickers on the boards say RA799-I1827, it is called a 'Multi Purpose Control Board'

We've repaired dozens of these, the most common problem is that the display has failed or been broken. We have found a source for new displays that require only a slight modification of the control board to work. The result is a crisp clean display and a fully functioning board.

The boards is marked 175-0097-01 and the Robinair P/N is RA19606A. There is a fairly common problem with these that leaves them stuck in a programming loop that displays "Initializing" we can repair this and get them working.

These are quite popular with restaurants. Common problems include failed Push To Talk (PTT) switch and/or the large circular rubber membrane failing. We have new cases available for these.

We've got hundreds of hours of experience on these. We've drawn schematics of the DC-AC module and the drive circuits on the mainboard. We've developed a method of repairing them that includes checking all of the drive circuits and signals. We then connect the module so we can monitor it as we increase the input voltage from a current limited outside source. Once we have it running at the designated DC input voltage (215VDC) we monitor the waveform to ensure a clean stable sine wave output.

The main circuit board with the LCD display is mounted under the keypad. This board can go bad resulting in the scale portion being unreliable or completely non-functional. We have repaired dozens of these boards and have the parts in stock. Part Number 981580
